Some days you don’t have the time to head to the gym to concentrate on a full basketball development workout due to studies, work, etc. So below I’ve broken down a quick workout, with a combination of drills: ball handling, multiple finishes at the basket, catching and shooting, attacking downhill, and ball/screen action. You don’t necessarily need a court, do it in your driveway. All you need is a basket to start improving different aspects of your game as a Point Guard.
Use the drills as a progressive system and challenge yourself to improve in the areas needed based on your skill level. The development workout may exceed the 10-minutes mentioned, but every extra minute you put into developing your game is the extra that’ll place you ahead of your competition.
Accelerate Your Skill Development
This skills workout for Point Guards can be done in just 10-minutes, but take a bit more time and focus on the areas that you struggle with. It’s compact and trains foundational Point Guard skills you need in your game. Use it when you’re crunched for time, as a quick pre-game or pre-practice routine to accelerate your skill development.
